Bloodborne wasn't out, and Elden Ring hadn't yet redefined what the action-RPG genre can be. Lords of the Fallen wants to be Dark Souls so badly it hurts, but can it really successfully mimic an all-time classic? Dodging is fluid, and your character never feels too fast or too slow, resulting in a fight that's akin to a dance. There aren't actually that many Radiance-scaling weapons in Lords of the Fallen's early game. One of the best is Pieta's Sword, which is in the boss weapons section below, but that requires you to It has everything you'd expect in a soulsbourne as well as a few new mechanics all its own. Specifically the lamp mechanic that teleports you from the surface world into the umbra version of the world is a wonderful addition that changes how you approach this game.
